Join Us the Second Tuesday of Every Month!

The Community of Practice is a monthly learning series on emerging practices in alternative emergency response implementation that meets the second Tuesday of every month at 10:30 am PT/1:30 pm ET. It is free and open to any and all government staff undertaking project management and implementation of alternative response teams. Our Community of Practice is made up of upwards of 70 governments, all in different stages of uplifting alternative response teams. Attendees include program managers, fire, police, 911 dispatchers, and more.

Each meeting features some combination of planning resources, implementation tools, and conversations with researchers, practitioners, and peer governments. The community is intended to be a collaborative learning space for government staff to connect with and learn from peers and gain access to resources from the GPL and jurisdictions across the country. Read more about the GPL’s alternative 911 emergency response work here.

Completing this form will sign you up for regular email updates from the Community of Practice, including information on how to join monthly calls and follow up resources.
